I am interested in what it means to be human, and I love living a meaningful and creative life.

Serving as a source of inspiration and a catalyst for others to fill their lives with creative exploration and meaningful experiences is deeply satisfying to me – and that's why I facilitate courses and workshops, and offer individual coachings.

My training as a Systemic Coach (Gesellschaft für Systemische Therapie und Beratung Berlin) has taught me how to support others in uncovering their strengths and resources while exploring and navigating through their internal and external environments with the goal of locating the points where they can make conscious decisions in shaping and transforming their lives with an increased sense of agency, freedom and inspiration.

Since 2020 I have guided more than twenty groups through The Artist's Way and have hosted additional courses for people who wish to pursue self-inquiry and creative expression while developing their creative confidence In addition to the work of The Artist's Way, I have facilitated workshops with Julia Cameron's other books such as The Vein of Gold, Walking in this World and Finding Water. Taking some of the core exercises of The Artist's Way as a foundation, I have also used the books The Power of Now by Eckhard Tolle, No Bad Parts by Richard C. Schwartz, Maps to Ecstasy by Gabrielle Roth, Big Magic by Elisabeth Gilbert, The Creative Habit by Twyla Tharp and the work of the visionary artist Joseph Beuys as sources of inspiration for group-supported continuous creative spiritual practice.

Finding playfulness, passion and meditative states in solo dancing since my teenage years, and being deeply involved in Swing Dancing for over two decades, becoming a Swing Dance Teacher, Festival Organizer and Community Builder along the way, I can testify to the life-changing power of dance, seeing physical embodiment and expression as bringing our soul-life and spirit-being more and more into this world.

In everything I do, I see myself involved in working on the living social sculpture that we all participate in, strongly inspired by Joseph Beuys, using art and creativity as a principle for higher education and healthy evolution.

Frequently Asked Questions About The Courses

Working through a book on your own is exciting. Even more so when it’s Julia Cameron’s The Artist’s Way. But doing it together with Tycho, in a group of people who were completely new to me, is a special experience. For one thing, having a group with a regular routine really helps you keep going, stay committed, and put in the effort. Additionally it's fascinating to see how similar we are as human beings, which creates a feeling of comfort and connection. Tycho leads in a professional and encouraging way, so I enjoy doing the tasks he assigns during the meetings and for the time in between. Everything is optional, nothing is forced. This allows each person to find their own way of expressing themselves within the framework of the book and the course. You still have to make the experiences yourself. That part doesn’t change.

This course gave me the courage to say what I am for the first time - an artist. I now understand that you are born this way. Your soul is the artist, regardless of which expression you choose. And in this way, art is inseparable from being human.
I believe that most of the insights I gained were only possible thanks to the framework of the course. Through the really highly valuable and inspiring exchange with the other participants and under the dedicated and respectful guidance of Tycho, spaces were playfully and easily opened within myself. Yes, it sounds exaggerated when I say that I would recommend the course to anyone - but it is my deep conviction that everyone will take something away from it - even if it is only the feeling of being understood.

"I had always wanted to read «The Artist's Way» but had never been able to stay focused long enough to get through the second chapter. In addition to the conversations and in class activities, the exercises outside of class always spurred thoughtful reflection with various outcomes. Sometimes a helpful insight quietly shifted a belief for the better and sometimes a playful endeavor sparked a new friendship or brought clarity to a challenging relationship. The experience of doing «The Artist's Way» with Tycho helped immensely to shift my priorities in such a way my actions became more aligned with my values than habitual.
Through participating in Tycho’s «Big Magic» course, Big Magic has become a daily companion. Not the book, but It, Big Magic. Again, I experienced Tycho orchestrating an environment that is friendly and expansive with non-threatening writing activities that generate rich insights. Conversations in both the break out rooms and in the large group illustrated reflective and thoughtful participants engaging in uplifting action.
Tycho’s course prompts frequent aha moments in which Big Magic becomes accessible, visible and palpable. The clarity and dedication that come from Tycho’s courses facilitates keen discernment and informed choices that benefit the participant at their core, which I have observed ripple through my family and community.
I give thanks to Tycho for creating a space and structures for me to explore and become wise about how I spend my time and what I put effort and energy towards. Courses with Tycho are fun and intelligent. With tremendous heart, and great wisdom, Tycho is a skilled conductor and conduit for Big Magic. "

"I was terrified to begin "The Artist’s Way"! I was afraid of what I would discover about myself and at times reasoned that perhaps it was a distraction from the work I was trying to do. I would stare at my phone, scroll through social media, and find other obstacles to keep me from doing the art I wanted to do. But Tycho is a wonderful facilitator and guide of "The Artist’s Way". I learned to laugh at myself and with others about the struggles we all have making art and living. I felt supported by a community of artists, people I will keep in my pocket for years to come when I hit walls and struggle. The things I learned from Tycho and The Artist’s Way are a part of my daily practice and will stay with me for a long time. I learned who I am as an artist. I found fellow artists. And, perhaps more than anything I found many affirmations that life as an artist is possible, beautiful, and deeply spiritual. All of this has made my practice a joy even when it moves as a tortoise."

"I bought “The Artist Way” and tried to read it for a split second until I forgot about it. One day I met a friend who said they were gonna do the workshop. It started that same night and I was there. I got really into it and decided to do everything Tycho or what the book asks you to do. It was quite fun actually. Since that workshop, so many things have changed for me creatively speaking. It’s kinda of crazy. I am now going for what I really want to do. There is still a lot of work to get there but I am no longer in the “wishing” process. I am in the action and I am very grateful to Tycho for the class, he was just stellar and kept all of us motivated throughout.
You read it often “life changing experience” and you're like yeah yeah…
Not kidding though, it was for me, no BS."

"Subtle Transformative Power! The course with Tycho was the first little pebble that set many things in motion, setting a new course for my "inner artist" and in the external world. The course weaves itself like a beautiful new thread into daily life, suddenly creating time for essential things where there was none before. It brings shadows and blocking beliefs to the surface where they can dissolve. The combination of writing, reading together, and the exchange with others helps break up encrusted habits and initiates changes in perspective with freshly experienced creativity and renewed excitement for life. What could be called an original creativity regains its right to exist, and that feels absolutely fantastic.
Tycho leads through the two hours in a clear, structured, unexcited and "unesoteric" manner. At the same time, he remains extremely present and humorous, staying rather in the background to give space to the different participants or not to influence subjective insights.
He incorporates dance and movement elements, which was unfamiliar at the beginning, but ultimately led to some of the most profound Satoris. Add to that the inspiring group, it is mega exciting to see how each person experiences the process differently.
This group setting helped me navigate through less flowy phases, in which I might have gotten lost in the chaos of everyday life if I were only reading the book. After each session, I and my life felt lighter, even on days when I had no time or inclination. So, enjoy the trip!"

  Franziska Kraft, Lawyer

"Tycho does an excellent job of guiding the work, adding on his own intellectual curiosity and breadth of study. I found the international sharing particularly helpful to my own development. I have learned kindness and joy in my work, and the gratitude for what I have. I have recommended Tycho's "The Artist's Way" course to many of my friends and I hope I can encourage others to give it a try, it is a gift!!"
  Kristen Schiele, Artist - kschiele.com

"I participated in Tycho's "The Artist's Way" course in 2020 and a consecutive course in 2021, and I continue to reap the benefits. His well-crafted, motivating, and expertly facilitated online workshops helped me gain clarity about my professional direction in the current phase of my life. Moreover, they anchored a daily routine of mindfulness and self-reflection in me, which I find incredibly valuable for navigating life more consciously and with greater awareness. I highly recommend joining this course if you want to become the person you could be."
  Sascha Kubiak, Consultant | Coach | Trainer - subjectresoul.com

"The course is both a set of tools and a source of inspiration. It cleared out some idealistic assumptions and made room for (true) dreams. A deeply beneficial experience, sometimes challenging, sometimes gentle. Certainly, an enrichment."
Tiziana Maria Palumbo, Artist and Entrepreneur

"Tycho applies the work with the book “The Artist Way” in an individual, sensitive and creative way, involving the body as well as the mind which leads to an enhanced sense of achieving results. To be accompanied on this journey by Tycho is a gift you want to give yourself and to your best friend."
